South Africa: one of Africa's primary
international gateways using Johannesburg and Cape Town as
gateways into the region
-
Zimbabwe: Victoria Falls serves as an international
gateway and serves as the region's main safari hub with access
into Hwange and lower Zambezi plus Botswana's Chobe, Okavango
and Kalahari areas. Harare has traditionally been
Zimbabwe's main international hub.
-
Zambia: Lusaka is the main international
gateway offering access to Livingstone/Victoria Falls and the Kafue in
the west and Luangwa Valley in the east.
-
Botswana: Maun is the main safari hub served
primarily from
Johannesburg and Victoria Falls. Kasane and Victoria
Falls are excellent hubs and regularly used for overland
access into Botswana's northern safari attractions.
-
Namibia: Windhoek is the main international
gateway and also serves as the primary hub. Attractions are great distances apart so domestic
access is generally done by road on mobile safaris or
alternatively via light aircraft charters.
